Apostle Ellis R. Hodge was born to Arthur Lee and Elizabeth Hodge and a native of Valdosta, Georgia. He accepted Christ as a teenager. He attended local schools in Georgia, including Valdosta State College. In1971, he voluntarily enlisted with the United States Air Force. He faithfully served his four-year enlistment and later re-enlisted as an Air Force Reservist until retiring in 1994 with 20 years of service as a Technical Sergeant.
