Pastor Ellis R. Hodge

Ellis R. Hodge was born to Arthur Lee and Elizabeth Hodge and a native of Valdosta, Georgia. He accepted Christ as a teenager. He attended local schools in Georgia, including Valdosta State College.

In1971, he voluntarily enlisted with the United States Air Force. He faithfully served his four-year enlistment and later re-enlisted as an Air Force Reservist until retiring in 1994 with 20 years of service as a Technical Sergeant. Employed by GTE/Verizon for more than 24 years, Ellis moved through the ranks as Operator, Lineman and his most recent assignment as a Central Office Manager.

While attending, Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Hodge served in many ministries under the teaching and training of the late, Senior Pastor, Dr. L.S. McCree. Continuing to serve diligently in various ministry roles at Mt. Zion, including Pastor of the Singles Ministry, Pastor Hodge was called and licensed to preach in 1990 under the leadership of the late, Senior Pastor Wilkins Garrett, Jr. It was in 1998, God used the residents of Graham - Rogall Apartments, to call him out to start Word of Life Fellowship Church.

He received his Diploma in Theology from Beacon Theological Seminary. He has an AA Degree in Logistic management from the United States Air Force Community College, and attended Bethune-Cookman College. Furthermore, he has achieved a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Christian Faith College, Master of Arts in Theology from Life Christian University, and an Honorary Doctorate Degree from St. Thomas University. Pastor Hodge serves as a teaching professor with Life Christian University’s Colleges of Theology, Christian Counseling and Music Ministry. In addition to his teaching profession, he serves as the Campus Dean of Life Christian University Pinellas in St. Petersburg, FL. This campus is a community based, Christian college/seminary, which offers an adult learning curriculum to prepare, train and equip individuals for work in the Kingdom of God. LCU Pinellas is an extension of Life Christian University’s main campus in Tampa, FL.

In 2010, several milestones in ministry developed for Dr. Ellis R. Hodge, as he was added to the speakers and ministries featured on Streaming Faith.com (www.streamingfaith.com). Additionally, out of obedience to God, Dr. Hodge launched ERH-Bible Crusade Ministries, Inc. (best known as B.C.M.) www.biblecrusadeministries.org . It is through his personal ministry, B.C.M., Dr. Hodge will further reach, teach and transform the world for the kingdom of God through the word of God, here in the United States and internationally. Last but certainly not least, God increased the call and anointing on Dr. Hodge’s life, when God commissioned him to be an Apostle to the nations.

Apostle Ellis R. Hodge is the Senior Pastor of Word of Life Fellowship Church (St. Petersburg, FL). Together he and his lovely wife, First Lady, Teralyn Hodge, a native of St. Petersburg, actively and passionately oversee Word of Life Fellowship. They have one son, Andrew Ellis Lamar Hodge and a devoted niece, T’nora Dessaw.
